Developing Each Child One at a Time

Our low student to teacher ratio provides for a high teacher student relationship, small classes and individual personalised attention leading to a happy and confident individual.

Sri Ara Schools recognises that students come to us with a variety of learning styles, academic abilities and cultural experiences. We believe that they learn best in a secure, caring and stimulating environment, and we try to grow them further based on these traits. We strongly believe and teach on the basis that every child is a unique individual with the potential to become a leader, that each child develops at his or her own pace and that it takes a community to develop each child.

Our programme is designed to develop your children in a holistic manner, moulding them into independent individuals.

We believe that in order for students to become responsible and positive members of society, we must provide for their intellectual, physical, aesthetic, creative, emotional and social development.

A friendly learning environment can help to promote a child’s thinking, making learning fun.

A child with talent has to be one with discipline in order to succeed in the future.

Most teachers care about imparting knowledge to students. But the best teachers establish a trusting and caring connection with their students.

Every individual is able to learn concepts and new things, but the way in which they learn is always different. We accommodate these differences in individuals.

Interpersonal relationships between teachers and students contribute to learning and is essential for the healthy development of each students.

We make learning language more related to the daily life of the students.

PS4 and Nintendo Switch session was held last week. The students chose to play Asphalt, FIFA and Dragon Ball games. It was fun and also competitive!

Some of the benefits of playing video games are :

Improves coordination

Improves problem-solving skills

Enhances memory

Improves attention and concentration

Secondary students were also interested to play football this morning, so we organised one session for them as well. The match was so intense and the final score was 2-2.

Football is more than just a game; it teaches lessons that the players carry with them for the rest of their lives. Football teaches them teamwork, discipline, perseverance, goal-setting, handling success and failure, time management, and also keeping fit.

Because they love football so much, we organised another session of Kick & Score this morning 😊

There were new faces like Alvin, Andy, Rebecca, George, and Tiloshan.

Football is a good sport for maintaining health, fitness, strength and endurance.
